From the creators of Riverdance, there’s a new music and dance extravaganza.

Following sold-out shows in Ireland and China, Heartbeat of Home starts a North American tour in Toronto. It’s a heart-stopping tour de force featuring 37 dancers who perform dynamic, vibrant components of traditional Irish, Latin and Afro-Cuban music and dance.

One of the Canadian dancers, Shaunessy Sinnett, is from Goderich – and her feet have taken her all over the world.

“Absolutely. From Dublin to Beijing to Shanghai and now here in Toronto with Heartbeat of Home. It’s wonderful.”

Sinnett adds she has been in “maybe half a dozen shows here and there, so some that toured Canada, some that toured the States, as far as the United Arab Emirates, Germany, and the U.K. and Ireland. But this is the big one for me, this is the be-all and end all of Irish dance.”

The high-octane show begins a six week engagement on January 21st at Toronto’s Ed Mirvish Theatre.
