The Halton District School Board (HDSB) has collected medical supplies from schools across the region to distribute to healthcare providers dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.
The school board donated 147,900 gloves, 400 masks, 125 aprons, 85 goggles, 56 robes, 10 sheet covers, and 16 face shields.
The items will be given to the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services to direct the supplies to where they are needed most.

The school board joins several other educational institutions to collect and donate equipment to frontline workers in the province.
Last week, Brock University filled a truck with thousands of gloves, hundreds of lab coats and goggles, cartons of face masks. The items were distributed to front-line health workers at Niagara Region hospitals.
On Thursday, Niagara College packed hundreds of boxes of 23,000 gloves, 3,130 masks, 3,760 protective garments including gowns, polypropylene suits, hair covers, shoe covers and caps, more than 330 cleaning supplies, and nearly 150 safety glasses and shields.
The personal protective equipment was donated to the Niagara Health Foundation.
