Hamilton’s ward one incumbent Aiden Johnson has left city council to join the Niagara community legal clinic, meaning the ward is wide open to the 13 newcomers battling for the seat including Sophie Geffros, Jordan Geertsma, Lyla Miklos, Maureen Wilson, Sharon Cole, Linda Narducci, Syed Bakht, Ela Eroglu, Richard Massie, Jason Allen, Harrison White, Sharon Anderson, and Carol E. Lazich.

Sylvie Lendvay caught up with some of the candidates to find out what changes they believe are the top priorities for Ward 1.
