Hamilton stabbing victim now city’s 2nd homicide of 2021

A 30 year-old Hamilton man who was stabbed on February 10th has now died of his injuries. Simon ‘Tommy” Huang died in hospital.

Two individuals, 27 year-old Jason Anthony Long and 33 year-old Madelene Peternel  had remained in custody after being initially charged with attempted murder. Prosecutors have been informed that Huang has died and the pair are now facing charges of 1st Degree Murder.

In the meantime, investigators are still looking for a third suspect in the stabbing death, Jamie Lee McMaster, a 30 year-old Hamilton woman is charged with Accessory After the Fact for allegedly helping Jason Long avoid arrest.
