Hamilton police seize bear spray, pellet gun, drugs during traffic stop

A Hamilton man is facing a slew of charges after police seized a pellet gun, bear spray and a number of illicit drugs during a traffic stop.

Shortly after 8 a.m. Sunday, officers pulled over a black pickup truck in the area of Barton St. East and Kensington Ave. North.

Police found out the driver’s license was suspended and he was placed under arrest. Officers searched the man and his vehicle and found a black pellet gun, bear spray, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and cash.

It was later discovered the 43-year-old man was bound by several court orders and faces several charges.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
