Hamilton police seek man in multiple Jehovah’s Witnesses hall arsons

Hamilton police are looking for a man following a slew of arsons at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses downtown.

Officers said the man was captured on video at the place of worship located at 57 Delaware Ave. around 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 4.

Investigators said the man spray painted the outside of the building and set a doorway on fire at the back of the building. He then fled on foot.

On Aug. 5, the man was seen again around 9:30 p.m. setting the front entrance on fire.

The man is described as having light skin and a medium height and weight. He was clean shaven and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a Hockey Canada logo, dark pants and dark shoes.

In the first incident, the man was carrying a black reusable bag with white lettering on it. He was carrying a yellow shopping bag with black lettering on it in the second incident.
