Hamilton police say they are investigating a shooting that took place on Sunday, Dec. 12 in the east end of the city. 

Police say shortly before 9:00 p.m. it received information about possible gunshots being fired in the area of Ottawa Street North and Barton Street East.

Officers say they secured the area and found evidence to support a shooting incident and believe multiple vehicles were involved. Police say there are no reported injuries at this time.
