Hamilton police lay charges after Flamborough house party

Hamilton police have laid charges after a house party was held at a short-term rental in Flamborough.

Police were called to reports of a house party just after midnight on Thursday.

Officers located about 10 to 15 vehicles parked in front of the house. They say there were about 50 people inside.

Police laid a total of 11 charges under the Reopening Ontario Act and the Highway Traffic Act.

This is the second report of a large gathering at a short-term rental in the city over the past two weeks.

Police were called to a home in Upper Stoney Creek o Feb. 20 after reports of house party there.

Officers say there were about 150 people there. Police say they are working to identify the party host. 

Hamilton is currently in the red level of COVID-19 restrictions.

All events and social gatherings are restricted to five people indoors and 25 people outdoors.
