Hamilton Police investigating home robbery

The victim of a home robbery on Monday night is not co-operating with police to help them determine if the incident was targeted.

Police were called to a resident in the area of Main Street East and Holton Avenue South just after 8:30 p.m. Police are saying that the resident of the home answered a knock at his door before two suspects, a male and a female, forced their way in and assaulted him.

The man is described as Caucasian, around 5’9 with an average build. He was wearing dark clothing with a bandana over his face and sunglasses. The woman was also covering her face. She is described as a heavy build and wearing camo pants.

The suspects obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and two cell phones before fleeing the scene.

The victim received minor injuries but declined medical attention.
