Hamilton police investigate 6 residential break-ins in Westdale

First Published:

Hamilton police are investigating after a number of break and enters at homes in the city’s west end.

Police say six homes in the Westdale neighbourhood have been broken into since April 9.

The break-ins happened sometime between midnight and 4 a.m. while the residents were sleeping. Several items including computers, phones, wallets, purses, and key fobs were taken from the homes.

In two incidents, the homeowner’s vehicles were stolen.

Investigators are asking residents in the area to check their surveillance cameras for any suspicious activity.

Police are reminding the public to be vigilant about locking doors and securing windows.

“It is too early to link all the cases and Hamilton Police Service continues to investigate,” said police in a news release.

Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to contact Det. Gill at 905-546-3818.
