Hamilton Police have arrested a man after east end shooting

A 44-year-old man will appear in court Wednesday after a shooting in Hamilton’s east end.

It happened around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday on Kenora Ave. near Barton St.

According to police, a man walking along Kenora Ave. began arguing with people in a housing complex.

That man shot a gun in a resident’s direction, hitting the side of a home.

No one was injured.

Police arrested the man.

They say they seized the a gun, fentanyl and cash.

The man is facing several charges including firearm-related offences, possession of a controlled drug for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000.
