Hamilton man charged in online threat against Toronto school

A Hamilton man has been charged in connection to a threat made against a Toronto school.

Toronto Police say a man threatened to commit a shooting at an unnamed school in the city while in an online chat with another man last week.

They released a photo of the suspect and asked for the public’s help in identifying him.

Police executed a search warrant in the Hamilton area on Tuesday.

Tygar Allen Campbell, 28, was arrested and charged with:

  • Uttering Threats
  • Hoax Regarding Terrorist Activity
  • Fail to Comply with Release Order
  • Fail Comply with Probation Order
  • Use of Imitation Firearm during Commission of an Indictable Offence
  • Possession of a Weapon
  • Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order x 2
