Hamilton man charged with child pornography

The Hamilton Police Service Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit began an investigation after receiving information from the National Child Exploitation Coordination Centre (NCECC).

The police were told that an individual had uploaded and distributed an image of child pornography using the Microsoft Skype back in February.

The device used was identified as being from a Hamilton address.

On May members of the ICE Unit, Technological Crime Unit, and uniform patrol officers executed a search warrant at a Hamilton residence.

During the search several electronic devices were seized.

Hamilton Police have arrested, David Aitchison, 59 year old from Hamilton. He is charged with child pornography, distribution of child pornography and luring a child.
