Hamilton charity launches virtual grocery store

First Published:

A Hamilton charity has launched a new way to donate food.

Food4Kids Hamilton has opened a virtual grocery store, where you can order fresh produce, canned goods, and pantry staples.

Items start as low as $.50 for a pack of oatmeal. Your order will be packaged by volunteers, and then given to children who don’t have enough to eat at home.

Food4Kids fills care packages for hundreds of children during the school year.

The packages are discreetly placed in their backpacks before each weekend, to cover the gap between school breakfast and lunch programs.
