The owner of Hamilton’s The Pyramids Café is facing drug charges following an investigation led by Hamilton Police.

Hamilton officers partners with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario as well as city bylaw officers for the investigation.

They entered the restaurant located at 581 Main St. E for an inspection on Friday.

Investigators say they located approximately three ounces of marijuana, 15 cartons of contraband cigarettes and cocaine.

The cafe owner, 55-year-old Maher Mahmoud Abusamra of Hamilton, faces charges including possession, proceeds of crime under $5,000 and trafficking contraband tobacco.
