The City of Hamilton is adding more restrictions to rec centres, arenas and community halls.
This comes as the city got clarification from the province regarding its red “control” level COVID-19 restrictions.
Red-level restrictions began in Hamilton on Monday. Restrictions include limited indoor dining and gyms usage as well as movie theatre closures.
Organized public events and social gatherings are limited to 10 people indoors and 25 people outdoors.
On Wednesday, the city confirmed with the province that these limits also apply to recreation facilities.
That means rec centres, arenas and community halls are limited to 10 people, no matter the size of the facility.

Earlier this week, the city cancelled all fall registered programs as well as sport and fitness drop-in programs.
Some swim and general interest drop-in programs will continue with enhanced safety measures.
