Halton Region extends mask bylaw to condo and apartment common spaces

First Published:

Halton Region is revising its mask by-law, requiring residents to wear a mask in common spaces of condos and apartment buildings.

The change comes into effect on Wednesday and will affect residents in Oakville, Halton Hills and Milton.

Burlington’s mask bylaw already included this provision.

Common spaces include areas like lobbies, elevators, laundry rooms and mail rooms.

The bylaw is set to expire at the end of November.
