Halton Police share video of near-miss crash, driver charged

Halton Police have laid charges after a near-miss crash caught on an officer’s dash cam last month.

Police tweeted the video Thursday morning.

In it, a police cruiser is stopped at a red light in at Derry Rd. and Holly Ave. in Milton.

Suddenly, a vehicle approaching the red turns left forcing a driver in an oncoming vehicle to hit the brakes.

The police officer follows the vehicle to a parking lot.

Halton Police say the driver was charged with failing to stop at a red light as well as failing to surrender licence.
