Over two days, two separate LCBOs were burglarized across the Halton Region.
In both instances, the assailants brandished a weapon to scare off the employees after they were caught red-handed.
Campbellville incident
The first incident occurred on May 15 when a man and woman entered the Cristello’s Village Market LCBO in Campbellville around 5 p.m.
While browsing the store the man grabbed and concealed a bottle of alcohol, Halton police say.
The couple then went to exit the premises but were approached by an employee who had witnessed what had just happened. In an attempt to scare the employee, the man brandished a Swiss Army tool before proceeding to leave.
No one was injured.
The thief’s photos are now being circulated by police, who say they believe these two are responsible for “seven separate theft incidents in the region since early March 2024.”
The man is described as a black 25 to 30-year-old who wore black Reebok pants, a black trench coat, brown and white Nike Dunks and was carrying a black side bag.
The woman is described as a black 25 to 30-year-old with long black dreadlocks. She wore white pants, a white tank top, and white Nike Air Force 1’s and was carrying a green Food Basics bag.
Milton incident
The second incident occurred on May 17 at 8:45 p.m. when a man walked into the LCBO on Main Street East in Milton.
Police say an employee witnessed the man grab several bottles of alcohol before they brandished a “large knife” while making their exit.
He was last seen heading towards the Real Canadian Superstore through the parking lot.
No one was injured.
The suspect in that incident is described as a white man, who wore a black hoody with an LA logo on the left breast, a silver chain necklace, a bright yellow Los Angeles Lakers baseball cap, black shorts and black shoes. He was carrying a grey and white black side bag.
