Halton police searching for “armed and dangerous” man in Milton shooting

Halton police are searching for a man in connection with a shooting at a pizza place in Milton on Thursday.

Police received multiple calls about a shooting at a plaza at Derry Rd. and Bronte St. just before 7 p.m.

They say a man walked into the Pizza Nova armed with a gun and demanded cash from the employee.

The man fired several rounds inside the restaurant after getting an undisclosed amount  of cash. He left and fired more shots before driving away. No one was physically injured.

Police have released a limited suspect description, saying they’re looking for a Black man, about 5’9 with a thin build. They say he is considered armed and dangerous.

He was driving a black four-door Mazda 3 with Ontario plate CPXT 541.

They believe he is alone and has fled the area.

Anyone with information or who may have surveillance video is asked to call police 905-825-4777 ext. 2415.
