A 23-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of an Oakville senior.
Ninety-one-year-old Edmund Ferrari was found suffering from injuries to his chest just outside his retirement home on Aug. 24. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following an “exhaustive investigation” by Halton police, 23-year-old Dazel Henry was arrested and charged in Ferrari’s death.
“The Service has applied all available resources to investigate the senseless and tragic death of Mr. Ferrari,” said Halton police in a news release. “The identification of a suspect would not have been possible without the support of area residents and local businesses who provided tips and video which aided investigators.
Henry is currently in custody and is scheduled to appear in a Milton court Friday.
