Halton Police make arrest following single-vehicle crash in Oakville

Several criminal charges are pending for one man after his car hit a guard rail overnight on Kerr Street between Wyecroft Road and Dorval Drive in Oakville.

Halton police responded to a call of a man who was sleeping behind his wheel. However, before police could get there the car had crashed. The man fled the scene but was soon arrested nearby by the canine and tactical unit.

Police continue to investigate the reason for the crash. They say they are investigating drugs as a possible factor in the crash.

Halton Paramedics were called to transport for unknown injuries.
