Halton police investigate poppy box theft in Oakville

Halton Regional Police are investigating the theft of a poppy box in Oakville.

Police say a man walked into a Tim Horton’s in the area of Trafalgar Rd. and Postridge Dr. around 1 p.m. Monday.

They say the man reached around the counter and stole the poppy donation box as staff members were busy with customers.

Security images released by police show the man wearing a red toque, camouflage pants, a black hoodie with a white symbol on the front and back and black shoes.

He had a black and white handkerchief covering his face.
