Golden Trailer Award Winners

Golden Trailer Awards

The highest honours in movie marketing were given out this weekend at the Golden Trailer Awards ceremony in Beverly Hills. Gravity was the night’s big winner taking home Best in Show and Best Thriller for its “Detached” trailer, which is embedded below. The Oscar winning picture went into the night with 8 nominations for a number of its trailers, television spots and posters, winning 4 awards.

Warner Bros. led all film studios with 52 nominations, winning in 15 categories. Warner’s list of entrants included Gravity, Godzilla, Transcendence, and The Conjuring. Universal had 9 wins for their catalogue of films that included Neighbors, Despicable Me 2, and Rush. Lionsgate Came in third with 8 wins, many of which came for their mega hit The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

The award presentation was hosted by comedian Jay Mohr and was judged by a group of industry professionals including actors Adam Driver (Inside Llewyn Davis, Star Wars Episode VII) and Corey Stoll (House of Cards), and directors Neil Burger (Divergent) and Chris Buck (Frozen).
