General Motors vehicles recalled

First Published:

Transport Canada has announced a huge recall on 40,000 cars over potential problems with their automatic transmission.

The recall affects 2008 to 2010 Chevrolet Malibu models, Pontiac G-6 cars, and 2007 to 2010 Saturn Auras.

The shift cable locking tabs could break.

Transport Canada warns drivers may not be able to re-start their vehicles if the gear gets stuck, and the car could roll away after they get out of the car.
