A play from 1938 gave us the term “gas light” and now a new adaptation- ‘Gaslight’- is on stage at the Shaw Festival in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
‘Gaslight’ is a play from a feminist perspective, where “Bella Manningham thinks she’s losing her mind. In the evenings, she hears strange sounds and the gas lights dim for no apparent reason. But is she losing her grip on reason, or is it being loosened for her?”
‘Gaslight’ is on stage at the Royal George Theatre until October 8th.
