Frost advisory in effect for Hamilton, Niagara areas

First Published:

It may be time to pull back out those winter coats as chilly temperatures are on the way for parts of Southern Ontario.

Environment Canada says a frost advisory is in effect for Hamilton, Niagara Region, Dunnville, Caledonia, and Haldimand.

The weather agency says the frost will likely strike Thursday night with temperatures dropping to near or below 0 C.

The colder than normal temperatures are expected to recur nightly through Tuesday. Environment Canada says hard freezes may happen across much of Southern Ontario.

Frost-sensitive crops and plants could be damaged or killed by frost.
