Fort Erie trio charged after stolen property found in driveway of home

Three Fort Erie residents are facing charges after police discovered stolen property parked in the driveway of a home.

On Wednesday, a Niagara police detective was driving along Highland Ave. when he noticed a blue garden trailer parked in a driveway. Police say a green John Deere riding lawn mower was sitting inside the trailer.

“The detective recognized the trailer and mower as possibly having been recently stolen from a property in the Ridgeway area of Fort Erie,” police said in a news release.

The theft happened sometime overnight Tuesday into Wednesday and some power tools were also stolen.

Detectives executed a search warrant at the Highland Ave. home and seized the stolen trailer, the John Deer Riding Lawn Mower and other items linked to the Ridgeway break and enter.

Richard Ronald Kinsella, 43, Felicia M. Lyrette, 35, and Eric Michael Hagen, 52, have been arrested and charged possession of property obtained by crime. Hagen also faces a charge of fail to comply with probabtion.
