A former Hamilton principal accused of sexual assault is expected to appear in court today.

Damir Ivankovic was charged with sexual assault in 2019. He was the principal of Ryerson Middle School in west Hamilton.

It’s alleged the incidents took place during the 2017 and 2018 school year and involved female students who attended Ryerson.

Ivankovic had pleaded guilty to the charges but his lawyer applied to strike the plea in July.
