Former Alberta Premier Jim Prentice Dead in Plane Crash

Former Alberta Premier and Federal Cabinet Minister Jim Prentice was killed in a plane crash, he was 60 years old.  The twin engine Cessna Citation went down shortly after takeoff from Kelowna, B.C. and crashed into a heavily wooded area. All four people who were on board died.

Prentice was first elected federally in 2004 and served in the Harper cabinet as Indian Affairs minister
