Flamborough woman, 21, killed in tragic ATV crash

First Published:

A 21-year-old woman from Flamborough is dead after falling roughly 10 metres off a ridge in a devastating ATV collision.

Family and friends have identified her as Becca Dilkes. Her 24-year-old sister Camille was driving.

Officers were called to a private property on Harvest Rd. just east of Ofield Rd. South around 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

The ATV lost control and went over a ridge, causing both women to fall roughly 10 metres.

First responders arrived and transported the 24-year-old woman to hospital with serious injuries. Her younger sister was non-responsive and pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say “appropriate safety equipment” was used and they do not believe speed was a factor in the crash.

The investigation is ongoing and police are asking anyone with information that could help to contact detectives at 905-546-4753 or 905-546-4755.
