A Port Colborne man who was wanted in connection to a violent assault with four others has been arrested, Niagara police say.
Officers were called to a home in the area of Bell St. and Davis St. around 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday for a report that a woman had been assaulted.
She was found and treated by paramedics for non-life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for further treatment.
“The victim’s injuries are related to being assaulted with physical force and with weapons (firearm and stun gun),” police said in a news release.
Police identified six suspects inside a home. Two were arrested leaving the house.
The emergency task unit, K9 unit and crisis negotiators were called. A viewer sent CHCH News video of that interaction.
Officers made three arrests. While executing a search warrant at the home, officers seized a pellet gun and 88 grams of fentanyl, worth about $26,000.
