A fire destroyed a home in Fort Erie early Saturday morning.

Fire crews were called to the house on Lakeview Road around two in the morning.

When they arrived the house was fully engulfed in flames.

No one was home at the time of the blaze.

40 firefighters were able to get it under control in under an hour.

Damage is pegged at around $200,000 and the cause of the fire is still being investigated.
