Fake Tragically Hip tickets sold

First Published:

Police say a Toronto man faces several charges after allegations that fake tickets were sold for a Tragically Hip concert.

A woman reported buying two tickets to the August 12th concert but noticed the ad for the same tickets remained on Kijiji afterwards.

They say she contacted the seller using a different name and he provided a picture of tickets with same section, row and seat numbers, at which point she contacted police.

A meeting was set up with the seller and officers attended but police say 27-year-old Coleman Ward was then arrested after a brief struggle.
