New research shows enduring extreme temperatures *may* increase your risk of early cardiovascular-related death.

Australian researchers say exposure to very hot or very cold temperatures can trigger changes in blood pressure, cholesterol and heart rate.

Those who are obese or diabetic can be especially sensitive to these changes.

The study found the risk of premature death was highest when extreme heat lasted for two or more days.
