Elliot “White Lightning” Scott wants to be Canada’s first action hero. Documentary filmmakers Matthew Bauckman and Jaret Bellivieu follow the self-professed martial arts expert as he produces a no-budget karate action flick, Blood Fight, that will launch him into super stardom. Kung Fu Elliot premiered at Slamdance where it won the Grand Jury Prize for documentary, it had its Canadian premier at Hot Docs 2014 where we caught up with the filmmakers.

Kung Fu Elliot gets a limited release at the Carlton Cinema in Toronto on Nov 7.
