Duo arrested following drug trafficking investigation in Oakville

Halton police have made two arrests following a drug trafficking investigation in Oakville.

Police launched the investigation back in March and looked into suspected drug activity in Oakville and the surrounding Greater Toronto Area.

On Thursday, officers executed search warrants in Oakville and Brampton and seized fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine and $4,725 in cash.

Savvyion Young-Barrett, 24, from Oakville, was arrested and charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and one count of trafficking in a controlled substance.

Samuel Holder, 25, from Brampton is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and trafficking a controlled substance.
