Driver with life-threatening injuries after crashing in Burlington backyard

First Published:

A 21-year-old man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after a serious single-vehicle crash in Burlington.

He was travelling in the area of Dundas St. and Brant St. when he crashed around 1 a.m. Friday.

Halton Police say the black SUV left the roadway and went down an embankment before ending up in a backyard on Beaufort Court.

It took emergency responders about an hour to get the driver out of the vehicle.

He was taken to Hamilton General Hospital.

The collision reconstruction unit is on scene to determine what happened but police say speed is a factor.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
