Driver crashes into multiple vehicles in Port Colborne

First Published:

A 38-year-old man is facing several charges after allegedly smashing into multiple vehicles throughout Port Colborne.

Officers were called to a collision in the area of Elm St. and Delhi St. around 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

Police learned a grey Sierra pickup truck was travelling southbound on Elm St. when it lost control and struck a blue Nissan Versa that was parked on the side of the road.

The driver continued southbound into the driveway of a home and collided with a parked silver Buick LaSabre.

Police say the impact of the crash caused the Buick to flip onto its side and become wedged against the home.

The driver then left the area and was involved in a collision with a Ford Focus on Elm St.

Police say the driver got out of his vehicle and fled on foot.

He was located by officers and arrested.

Kevin Sicard, of Niagara-on-the-Lake, has been charged with careless driving, fail to stop at scene of accident, red light – fail to stop and driving while under suspension.

He is scheduled to appear in court in September.
