Diet pills

Diet secrets, diet pill breakthrough, A-list star’s shocking weight loss, the appeal of losing weight quickly is hard to resist and for under $40 there is a number of over the counter pills that promise to help shed the pounds and fast.

Dr. Sean Wharton runs a number of weight management clinics in Southern Ontario, “the over the counter weight loss pills don’t actually work to decrease weight in an effective manner.”

At one point Dr. Oz even promoted the use of green coffee bean diet pills.

“The green coffee bean has been proven not to work, it’s a placebo. Which is why Dr. Oz got in trouble for it.”

The food and drug administration banned the weight-loss supplement Ephedra in April 2004. In Canada Ephedrine is a legal but a heavily-restricted product. “It used to be with diet products that they had more amphetamines in them and that was an appetite suppressant and that’s why it helped with weight loss.”

While the appeal to a quick fix is there, professionals we spoke with say that by taking over the counter weight loss pills they aren’t going to produce the results you are looking for. Really only healthy eating and exercise are going to produce the results you are looking for.
