Despite budget approvals, Hamilton police say they do not have enough people to fill roles of retirees

The Hamilton police union president says despite budget approvals for additional officers, the service can barely hire enough people to fill the roles of retirees each year.

While the police chief agrees they are short-staffed, he’s hopeful the roles will be filled by the end of the year.
