A man charged in the stabbing death of a teen in a drug robbery gone wrong in 2018 has been found not guilty of manslaughter and assault with a weapon.
Dawson Farr was charged following the fatal stabbing of a 17-year-old in December 2018. The victim’s identity is under a publication ban.
Another teen, the victim’s friend, was also stabbed but survived.
The judge-only trial began earlier this year with the court hearing that the two teens were planning on meeting Farr under the pretense of buying drugs.
They were actually planning on stealing $800 worth of cocaine.
Farr, who was 18 at the time, brought his roommate 27-year-old Tae Yoon (Dan) Park, along with him.

Both Farr and Park were charged with manslaughter. Farr was also charged with assault with a weapon and drug trafficking.
On Monday, the judge found Farr guilty of drug trafficking but not guilty of the other two charges.
He will be sentenced on July 20.

Park’s trial is set to begin later this year.
