All lanes of the eastbound 401 through Winston Churchill Boulevard in Milton will remain closed as crews have to grind down and repave a section of the highway.
That follows an overnight crash that sent two people to hospital, and spilled diesel fuel over the road. A tractor-trailer crashed into a truck guarding a work zone and a worker on the roadway was struck. That worker was taken to hospital in serious injuries.
The driver of the big rig is also in serious condition. The closure will be in effect all day.
