Hamilton Health Sciences (HHS) has declared COVID-19 outbreaks at two hospitals in Hamilton.
Juranvinski Hospital and Cancer Centre now has an outbreak on the E3 unit after five patients tested positive on Dec. 31.
HHS says all health care workers from E3 will be tested. Staff, physicians, and learners who spent time in the unit will also undergo testing.
The Hamilton General Hospital has also had an outbreak after four staff members tested positive in its 5 West COVID-19 unit.
All health care workers from this unit and physicians who spent time there will be undergoing testing.
HHS says the unit will remain open for COVID-19 patients.
