Cover squirrels

First Published:

A studio photographer in Simcoe has been paying their models peanuts…which works well, because they’re squirrels.

Daryl and Karen Granger, of Rose Le Studio, saw much of their business dry up when the pandemic hit. So Daryl started taking pictures of squirrels in their backyard.

Very elaborate pictures.

He’s now made about 17 “sets” for the 11 or 12 squirrels which visit regularly, each set more elaborate than the others.

He’s created a Facebook page, Nutzy’s Adventures, where he takes fans behind the scenes. He says to get the perfect shot, it’s all about “putting food in the right spot”.

Their photography studio has reopened now, but they’re still going to keep up with the squirrel shots.
