CNE adding more health inspectors

First Published:

The CNE opens on Friday, and this year, there will be extra checks on the midway food.

20 health inspectors will check out every food booth at least twice to make sure there’s no repeat of last year’s food poisoning. Dozens of people got sick before an investigation concluded that maple bacon jam on cronut burgers was contaminated.

The Ex is famous for its unique food offerings. Among the creations this year: bacon-wrapped Coca-Cola chicken and deep-fried Sriracha bites with peanut butter & chocolate chips.
