Closures in effect on Red Hill Valley Parkway Thursday night

First Published:

Sections of the Red Hill Valley Parkway will be closed Thursday night to allow crews to complete repairs to overhead sign structures.

The northbound lanes will be shut down between the Upper Red Hill Valley Parkway/Mud St. and Queenston Rd. beginning at 9 p.m.

The work is expected to take approximately two hours. Once completed, crews will begin work in the southbound lanes.

“The southbound lanes will be closed between Barton St. and the Upper Red Hill Valley Parkway/Mud St.,” said the city in a news release. “This work is expected to begin at approximately 11 p.m. and is expected to take approximately three hours.”

The city is advising drivers to follow the posted Emergency Detour Routes.

More repairs are scheduled to be done on the sign structures on the Claremont Access and Nikola Tesla Blvd. The city says the work is ongoing and should be completed by the end of the summer.
