Cineplex increases Star Wars showtimes by 50%

If you thought you were out of luck getting tickets for the opening weekend of the new Star Wars movie, it turns out the force is still with you.

Citing “unprecedented demand for advance tickets,” Cineplex will show  “The Force Awakens” on an additional 160 screens across the country during preview screenings the night of December 17th and on opening day, December 18.

That’s an increase of 50 percent.  There are 40 additional show times in the GTA alone.
