Today is the beginning of the annual CHCH Christmas Miracle Toy Drive.

Eastgate Square in Hamilton is almost ready for the arrival of Santa. He is scheduled to arrive this Sunday. Right in front is our own CHCH toy box, where donations can be dropped off.

CHCH is once again teaming up with Eastgate Square and the East Hamilton Optimist Club for the toy drive.

During the last two years, more than 17-thousand toys have been donated to help families in need.

The East Hamilton Optimist Club will accept cash donations to buy toys, as well.

Charles Manning is with the East Hamilton Optimist Club: “We have about 9 organizations that we donate to and that could be clothes, toys, and we also have personal contacts to help out needy families. All they have to do is bring in an unwrapped, a new unwrapped toy, bring it to Eastgate Square and put it in the toy box drive or you can take them right up to CHCH.”

If you’d like to drop off a toy here, our address is 163 Jackson Street West in Hamilton. Every toy is appreciated, but the optimist clubs want to remind the public that they need toys for teenagers, as well.
