Zelenskyy to meet Trump during UN general assembly to discuss Russian war

World leaders will be gathering in New York this week for the United Nations general assembly.
Among them Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who says he and U.S. President Donald Trump will meet and discuss the ongoing war with Russia.
It was just last month that Zelenskyy and Trump sat down alongside their European counterparts in the White House.
Since that meeting occurred, there has only been further escalation from Russian President Vladimir Putin and more recently, a number of airspace violations over NATO soil, that have left western leaders on high alert.
Earlier Monday the Ukrainian president took to X, where he said he spoke with NATO’s general secretary Mark Rutte about Ukraine’s list of needs for more missile and air defence systems.
